This is going to sound crazy, but that is pretty common for the things that I say. I have been contemplating writing a story from the viewpoint of a sock. Specifically, from the viewpoint of a sock that went missing in the dryer. The adventures of travelling through a dryer-induced vortex and appearing on a distant world coupled with the sadness of being separated from your life partner.

This one is easy. Middle Earth. Tolkein built one of the most epic and detailed worlds in fantasy literature. There are so many places to explore. Maybe Helm's Deep is on Air B&B.
