My advice to aspiring writers is to keep applying your passion. My first book took several years to accomplish because I had challenges within keeping me from sharing my story. Until I finally published my book, did I see that people were supportive and encouraging of bringing forth a difficult time of my life. I had several drafts before my masterpiece, but those drafts helped me accomplish my final gem

I actually never thought I could write a book on my childhood experience until people hearing about a little of my experience started encouraging me to share my story. Once I accomplished my first book 'Rising Up', I was able to look at myself differently as far as my abilities to write. Now I am on my second book, and this has not only helped me share my story, but it's also shown me that I could do anything that was on my heart. I appreciate my readers and their feedback. It has been my healing and strength hearing their thoughts. I still feel I am just a girl sharing a life experience in hopes of giving strength during moments we feel there is no way out.
