Another question: what year did it take place? Given the days of week and calendar days mentioned, I had come up with 2011 as a plausible year but did you have a specific year in mind?
Ray Gorham I did use a calendar, but I didn't have a specific year intended. Didn't want to date it, or seem like I was trying to make a prediction, and then have it be wrong.

Almost done with Daunting Days of Winter. I have loved both of your books...I am ready for more. Are they coming? I would love to connect and share some ideas. Is there a way to do that? Thanks! Jonathan
Ray Gorham Hi Jonathan. Thanks for positive words. At the current time I am not working on a follow up. I would like to, and have a pretty good outline for it, but I have just been too busy to sit down and put pen to paper in any consistent way. We'll see what the next year brings, but there isn't anything imminent. I recently had a production company reserve rights to it for potential movie/TV development, so if something happens with that I'll probably be forced to continue the story, but nothing yet.

In 77 Days in September, is the flight profile of the missile based on a real missile? I noticed that it was stated that it reached 82 miles altitude in 73 seconds, which seems like an extremely rapid ascent, even if it did not start its pitchover during that time.
Ray Gorham Hi Vareck. I tried but couldn't find any information on missile ascent times, so I just made it up and tried to sound authoritative. Not sure if it was close, hopefully not too far off.

I would love to know if you're working on a book right now, and, if so, what's the premise?
Ray Gorham Hi Leisha,

I wish I could say I was actively working on a book, but my real job has kept me quite busy lately. I do have two books half written, but I'm not sure when they will be completed. One is about a town that discovers a local resident has the ability to see into the future, and how that impacts all of them. The second takes place 14 years after a massive pandemic wipes out the majority of the world's population and pits two communities with differing world views against each other. Not sure when either will be finished, hopefully sometime in the not too distant future.

is there going to be another book with the character kyle tait in it.? it has been a long time since i have read an entire book in two days and i am almost finished with the second
Ray Gorham Edna, at some point there will be another book with the same characters, but currently I couldn't tell you when that would be. I'm currently quite busy with work (my real work), and I am working on another book with a completely different scenario. I am glad you enjoyed the first book, hopefully the second was enjoyable as well. Ray.
