The Chaos Project is partly inspired by my own experience whilst renouncing my corporate job to pursue a career in writing. I was not fully prepared for the hardships that followed my decision, and the fictional account in this novel draws from the funny, if dark, episodes that I witnessed while being torn between my creative interests and the comfort of a secure job.

My top advice to them is to not seek writing advice from others, because the journey of discovering oneself as a writer is personal and unique to everyone. In that uniqueness lies each writer's specialty. Other than this, the general principles around good writing are dedicated allocation of daily time, being unafraid of writing lulls, and not getting deterred by negative feedback.

It is the joy of being able to tell a story and bringing readers into a world that you have created. As a layman my life is riddled with difficulties and imperfections. But the universe I create as a writer belongs to me and I have the luxury of moulding it to my liking. I love exercising that luxury.

I just push my manuscript to a corner and revisit it in a few days. Trying too hard to battle the writer's block is like flogging a dead horse. I find it best to distract myself with something else, and then return rejuvenated.
