Susan Rohrer Hi Patrick,

I'm guessing that you're referring to selecting Jennie Allen's Getting out of Your Head for Christian Nonfiction Lovers Book Club's February book of the month. I haven't read any of her books yet, so I can't make a personal recommendation. I just noticed this one is a current bestseller with lots of good reviews and thought the topic might be of interest. So I shared it with our Book Club in case anyone wants to check it out. If you read it, feel free to chime in about it and let us know what you think. :)
Susan Rohrer Hi Don,

Thanks for reaching out to me here. You've found the place to ask me author questions openly on my Goodreads author page. If you have any questions related to the Christian Nonfiction Lovers Book Club group, feel free to post them there. Under the top heading "New Here?" you'll find a thread where you can pose questions pertaining to the group. Nice to hear that you've got your free promotion all set. We hope it goes well for you!

Susan Rohrer Hi David,

Thanks for reaching out. Actually, I haven't read books by either of these authors, although I've heard from many friends that they've participated in group studies based on Beth Moore's books and have found them to be worthwhile. I noticed that she has many highly rated books on this site (see https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... ) so you might want to peruse her reviews to see what other readers have to say.

All the best to you, David!
Susan Rohrer Hi Randy,

I've found getting involved in like-minded groups helpful in integrating into the Goodreads community. It helps to interact with group members on a variety of topics and to take an interest in other authors' books rather than only being there to promote our own books. Please feel free to join and interact with Christian Nonfiction Lovers Book Club if you're not doing that already. You can list a giveaway under the Author Meet & Greet>Giveaways thread there.

My best,
Susan
Susan Rohrer Hi Jeff,

Congratulations on your book! To share about it on Christian Nonfiction Lovers Book Club, you must first join the group at: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/.... If you've already done that (or once you have), then you can share about it with the group as follows:

Go to the Author Meet & Greet section of our group page. Under that heading, click on the thread for new releases (out less than 90 days), which you're still eligible for until 9/11/19. Or here's a link to that thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/....

Group members tend to engage more with authors who engage more with them on a personal level and separately from their own books. You can also introduce yourself to us more personally as an author at: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... and/or by taking part in our discussion threads about books by others.

I hope this is of help to you, Jeff. We look forward to hearing from you as a group. :)

Blessings,
Susan
Susan Rohrer You are most welcome for any way God used my book to light the fire of the Holy Spirit in your life. I'm always grateful to hear from readers like you who are excited to live in the power available to every believer. Thanks for that blessing, Faz!
Susan Rohrer Five or six days a week, devote some time to writing something. (Take at least one day a week to rest.) Writing is not only a creative process, it's a problem-solving discipline. And the more we write, the more we learn to spot and fill in the blanks of our pages. Study writing as a craft. Read and evaluate good writing. Write, rewrite, repeat. Nurture the talents and gifts you've been given.
Susan Rohrer Right now, I'm working on a new draft of the screenplay my novel The Beautiful World is based on. Though the script came first, in writing the novel, I always discover things I'd like to include in the screenplay. So I'm doing another draft of the script to add some new scenes.
Susan Rohrer Before I became an author, I had been a screenwriter for many years. While some of my scripts got made, other stories that I loved just as much weren't getting out there. So, I began to adapt my screenplays as novels as part of my Redeeming Romance Series of stand-alone novels. It can take many years for a screenplay to make it to the screen, but while I wait, these stories have a life of their own in book form.
