Hi Louise,
So sorry to be just getting back to you now. I'm not on Goodreads very often, so please accept my apologies.
The Principle of Evil is out 24th February and is available to pre-order.
I'm so glad you enjoyed For All Our Sins, and I hope you like the next book. There will be a third, but that isn't likely to be out until late next year.

Don't rush! Take your time to get everything right (as best you can) before you send out a book on submission, or if you're planning to self-publish. Read a lot, and above all, don't try to follow a trend. Write a book that YOU would want to read.

Working from home at my own pace, creating many interesting characters within stories that take the reader on a journey into a different world. Also, it's always nice to see your work in print and to receive great feedback from your readers.

There's no point in staring at a blank screen trying to force the process. I always take a break. I'll read a book, or go for a walk. If I'm really stuck, I'll talk it through with my husband, and usually I'll find a solution to any plot points I'm stuck on.

The idea came about through a competition last year. A well known author wrote a paragraph as the first chapter in an (imaginary) book. The entrants had to then finish the rest of that chapter in approx. 1,000 words and it could be of any genre. As soon as I read that first paragraph, it was like that classic 'light bulb' moment going off in my head for my next book. I didn't win the competition but I chose to rewrite that first paragraph, so the work was my own and tell the story that was beginning to form in my head.
