HI! Sorry I didn't respond before. I just saw you commented. lol
Definitley. Each of us have been inspired by something we read, so I think it's just to give others a glimpse into our minds. Can be an interesting view, though. :)

Tough question. lol I'm torn between the original Star Wars EU and Robert E Howard's Conan universe. Both have captured my imagination in ways I can't begin to describe.

HI John. It can be frustrating, and I'm still trying to work this out myself, but the best way I've found is to offer a book for free, set up a Goodreads and Facebook event, invite all my contacts, and ask if they wouldn't mind leaving an honest review. Hopefully, my books will make a strong enough impression that my readers will write a review, but it's hit or miss. If I ever figure out a sure-fire way to do this, I'll definitely let you know. :)

Hi! Sorry for the delay, I never got a notification about your question. lol
I'm extremely picky when looking at publishers. )That's probably why I haven't sent anything out to one yet. lol)
I start by doing a google search and reading over their website, but I also look them up on Amazon and see how their different books are doing, how or if they interact with readers (ie if they have their authors review their books, if they attack negative reviewers, etc), and look at the samples to see what kind of writing they endorse -- Third Person Limited, First Person, etc. I write mostly in Third Person Omniscient, so this is an important question for me.
My next step is to contact their authors and see how they feel about their publisher. If they pass all of those to my satisfaction, then I'll submit.

Hello. Wow, sorry, I didn't answer previously, but I was never notified you asked me a question. My sincerest apologies.
I think we do. I try to be as positive as possible when dealing with others and help them see the good things around them.

My latest story is based on a dream I had about a demon that steals people's souls. This is proving to be a blast to write so far. :D

I'm lucky in that just about anything can get the juices flowing, but music is the most consistent. There's little substitution with listening to something that allows your mind to drift off into another world.

I have a couple of projects in the works. I'm in the process of typing up the fourth Sword and the Flame novel, The Dragonmaster, writing the fifth novel, The Rebirth, and writing a few horror stories.

It's going to sound cliche, but never give up and be true to yourself. There's so much information and advice on how to write, it's important to take the time and understand what you want to do and stay true to your vision. Not everything works the same for everyone.

Good question. For me, it's about building new worlds and sharing my ideas with others.

What's best for me is traveling to far off places I have yet to actually visit. As a writer we have to read books on the subject we write about, which means a lot of research. That research is my escape to the far reaches of the earth, and leaves me feeling like a well-traveled man. Of course, that doesn't replace the actual experience of travel, and I do so when I can. Unfortunately, there aren't enough jobs like Anthony Bourdain has.

I've found the best thing for me is to keep writing by going to another project, blog post, or even a review. Anything that keeps the words flowing helps me to break through any blockages.
