Thanks for the question, Aubree! #0.5 in my Bradford Sisters series is an epistolary prequel novella called Then Came You. It's set before the first book, True to You, begins, and it's about a family member of the sisters. Even though it's set before the first novel, you don't have to read it before reading True to You. :) Then Came You is an accompaniment that I think adds depth to the series, but True to You stands alone.

Sheba, I was prompted to set the Bradford series in Washington because I find that corner of the country to be gorgeous. Growing up in California, just a few states south, I'd seen photos of WA and wanted to visit. I can even remember entertaining fairytale teenage dreams of honeymooning there one day.
Four years ago (after 20+ years of marriage) my husband and I finally made it to Washington together. We hiked, relaxed, explored. I'd felt a tug to set my series there even before I went, but while I was there, my decision was confirmed. That area is so inspiring!
None of my other books are set in WA. The Porter series is set in Texas, My Stubborn Heart is set in Pennsylvania, and my upcoming series will be set in the north Georgia mountains. :)

Ashley, yes! Bradfordwood was inspired by a real "American castle" called Thornewood. Check it out -- it looks amazing!
I set the town of Merryweather in a part of Washington state that my husband and I visited when we went to the region on a vacation/research trip before I started writing True to You. While there, we stayed at the Alderbrook Resort & Spa. I found the area so lovely, that I used it as the setting for the Bradfords.

You're not alone in hoping that Northamptonshire was a real show! Several readers have asked me this question and I wish I could tell you that it existed because I, too, would LOVE to watch it! Alas, I invented Northamptonshire.
I'm not familiar with Ciaran and Toby, but thanks for mentioning them. I'll look them up! I'm always in the market for wonderful TV/movies.

Hi, Cintia!
Here are my tips for the "writing road blocks" you're dealing with:
1) I chose not to let the discouraging statistics re: how many manuscripts are rejected bother me. Every person who starts writing should do so first and foremost because she loves writing. In my opinion, no matter where a writer is on her writing journey, the writing itself should be its own reward. I've always done everything I can to make writing fun and rewarding, to keep my love of it alive. Whenever I'd hear a discouraging statistic, I'd think, "Yes, but if I write a manuscript that's good enough, someone will buy it." And one day, they did. Also, these days, traditional publishing isn't an author's only option. If you want to make your work available to readers, you can.
2) When I'm in search of inspiration, I open myself up to new ideas. More than that, I *hunt* for new ideas. Every TV show, movie, book, news story, conversation with a friend, interesting thing that happened to someone I know, CAN become the seed of an idea for a story if I have the eyes to see it that way. When I hear or see something that catches my attention, I ask myself, "What if?"
I hope that's helpful to you!

Hi, Haley!
My next book will be Bradford Sisters novel #2 and it will be about Willow and Corbin. It's been fun to bring one character (Corbin) from my Porter Family series into my new series! I expect Willow and Corbin's story to release in May of 2018.
Thanks so much for reading True to You!

Crystal,
I'm so glad that you fell in love with the Porter series. Thanks for reading my books! I loved writing the Porters and I sniffled my way through the final chapters of Her One and Only because I knew that would be the last. At this time, I don't have plans to write a fifth book.
Fyi, one character from the Porter books will carry over into my new family series. You'll see quarterback Corbin Stewart again in True to You and in the other books in the Bradford Sisters series. ;)
Warmly, Becky

Thanks for reading Love in the Details, Bess! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it.
To answer your question... A Love Like Ours is book #3 in my Porter Family series. So if you're someone who loves to read family series and much prefers to read them in order, then I recommend you start with book #1, Undeniably Yours. However, A Love Like Ours absolutely does stand alone. So if you're not all that interested in tackling a new-to-you series from beginning to end you could most definitely pick up A Love Like Ours and read it by itself. I hope that helps. Thanks for your question!

Thanks for reading my Porter series, Rhonda!
Some of my author friends have written books about characters dealing with PTSD. Ronie Kendig's Falcon and Catherine West's Yesterday's Tomorrow come to mind. Harlequin's Love Inspired line and historical author Myra Johnson have published inspirational romances that feature the topic of PTSD.
It was wonderful to hear from you!

Thanks for your question! I thoroughly enjoyed writing fire fighter Will McGrath's story line in A Love Like Ours. So many readers contacted me after reading that novel to ask, "What happens next with Will and Amber?" that I wrote The Proposal, my Christmas short story. I thoroughly enjoyed writing that one, too, and setting it in a fire station. I find fire fighters very (ahem) inspiring!
At this time, however, I don't have plans to write a series about the fire fighters I introduced. I really love that idea, though! I'll file it away for safekeeping.

Thanks for reading Love in the Details, Megan! I'm so glad you loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed writing about secondary characters Sam, Mr. Perfect, and Rob. Especially, Sam. I love putting characters who speak their mind into my novels and novellas.
I just wrote a short story, which will be coming out in a few weeks, strictly because readers asked for more info on characters of mine. So a story about the folks from Love in the Details isn't out of the question. But I don't have specific plans to write a story about them at this point.
Thanks for asking!

Great question, Sarah! I just released a stand alone novella entitled Love in the Details. However, at this time, I don't have plans to write another stand-alone full-length novel. I've really enjoyed writing a series of connected books... There's a familiarity and a depth and a comfort for me in revisiting the same family through more than one novel. It allows me to 'follow' characters into the future, which I've really enjoyed.

Thanks for contacting me here on goodreads, Maria! I'm so pleased to hear that you enjoyed Undeniably Yours.
The answer to your question is yes! Bo's brother, Jake Porter, will be receiving his own book. In fact, I've already written it and it currently in the the revision stage. Jake's book will be titled A Love Like Ours and it will begin releasing in April. Fyi, this fall I'll begin Dru Porter's book. By the time I'm done, I'll have written four books in the Porter Family series about all four of the Porter siblings. Warmly, Becky
