I fictionalized my interests. For the past two decades, I have been obsessed with questions about the nature of reality, and, to that end, have eagerly read books, watched videos, and attended conferences. I still have questions, but very few answers—at least not ones accepted by science. My latest book explores the possibilities that exist for humanity as we move forward on our evolutionary path. I would love to be in a position someday to write a definitive nonfiction book about this.

I joined a weekly writers group. Seriously - this turned my writing around. I couldn't bear the thought of going to the group and admitting I hadn't written anything since the previous meeting, so I kept at it. From having written only 4,000 words in the two years prior, I finished my novel (83,000 words) six months after joining the group.
