I joined a weekly writers group. Seriously - this turned my writing around. I couldn't bear the thought of going to the group and admitting I hadn't written anything since the previous meeting, so I kept at it. From having written only 4,000 words in the two years prior, I finished my novel (83,000 words) six months after joining the group.
