I'm currently reading "Too Happy" by Kate Kasten. I have the following books on hold at my local library branch: "A Separation" by Katie Kitamura; "Lincoln in the Bardo" by George Saunders; "The Red Hunter" by Lisa Unger; "Into the Water" by Paula Hawkins; "Priestdaddy" by Patricia Lockwood; "Notes of a Crocodile" by Qiu Miaojin; "My Name is Lucy Barton" and "Anything is Possible" by Elizabeth Strout. I read at least one book a week, and have finished twenty-two books so far in 2017. Happy reading, everyone!

One of my sister's inlaws has a 27-year-old son who went missing 3 months ago. He has two children of his own. He was on an out-of-town outing with some male friends when he disappeared. He was last seen in a Dillon's grocery store in Topeka, Kansas on January 18, 2017. Brown hair, hazel eyes, a few tattoos, including two dollar signs on his right hand.

Till Darkness Comes came to me after learning about one more egregious denial of an insurance claim. I wanted to kill some insurance executives (in print only of course). My protagonist was abused as a child, so naturally her abuser had to die as well. You know that saying about not making a writer angry, she will kill you off in her next book? Yeah, that's me.

I'm currently writing The Valley of Fear: A Shirley Combs/Dr. Mary Watson Mystery, the third in this series. We finally meet Shirley's Dr. Moriarty in this one.
