A book that might break your heart. Told in a set of essays about the death of her teenage son, this is a work of beauty, intelligence, and great depth. The author set out to write her way out of grief. I found it healing myself.

This book took me a month to read. (I read only at bedtime.) The story didn't really reveal itself until at least half-way through. I like the story, I loved reading about crows. My sister recommended the book, or I'd never have finished it. ...more
