So I tend to pick up my next reads on the fly, and don't often have a long list beforehand. I like the surprise element of what I discover on the shelves and make my purchases on the spur of the moment without prior planning.

I'm already developing the early idea of a new near-future thriller series that is based on something that happened to me. It was a dramatic betrayal, and the mystery that intrigues me is what motivates someone to betray another, with no thought to the consequences or fallout? I'm currently head down writing my debit series New Rome Rising, so this new series will be simmering in the back of my brain for a while yet before it sees the light of day, but I can assure you, it will be one hell of a ride.
