I've often thought about the time in the course of humanity's journey when we began to domesticate plants and animals and thus the ability to develop larger surpluses and agriculture, the origin of wealth and the path to later technologies. I would find a man and a woman...a couple tied to each other...he the hunter and she the gatherer...on the cusp of discovering genetic selection as she and the other women grind the wild grains grown up around the place they inhabit in the warm months on their yearly migration. Over the years, seeds of grain brought to this place, blown away, scattered in and about this place, in random destiny. Seeds of an idea that led to a permanent settlement, beyond natural selection...and conflict with the free roaming life, the old life of the time before. And the herding life to come!

I will relate the following experience from my 8 month hitchhike journey across Africa at age 22. It was near the end and I was in Asmara, Ethiopia, when I had a vision of the vehicle I would buy when I got home. It was a green and white, 25 window VW Microbus with a sunroof. I still had plenty of travel ahead of me and put the vision aside, but the day after I got to my folks house in New Jersey, USA, I picked up the local paper and looked in the Classifieds and there was a VW Microbus for sale. It wasn't far away...just down the hill, a couple of miles. I borrowed Moms car and drove down there. And there it was, just as I had seen in my vision. I bought it on the spot!
Coincidence or something else? Is there a world of quantum possibility out there...or in here? And how do you get there? So, the plot could be... Protagonist experiences something miraculous having trusted the universe once, but keeps getting pulled back...because the thing of it is...when he doesn't, he finds himself right back in the human condition. The thing he's trying to escape...in the first place!
