Susan Larson I am mulling over taking Mozart to Prague, and having another mystery to solve. The man loved riddles and puzzles of all kinds, so these books are not that far-fetched. Perhaps no murder in the Prague book, just a tough and gnarly riddle, which he would have to solve while writing the last bits of his great opera based on the Don Juan story, called "Don Giovanni."
Susan Larson You can work in your jammies and bunny scuffs.
Susan Larson I don't get inspired. I spent a half-dozen years as a journalist, writing on deadline. If you are reviewing a concert on deadline, you have an hour to scamper to the newsroom and grind out something interesting, amusing, or at least cogent. Maybe a better answer to this question would be, I sit down at a keyboard and wiggle my fingers until mealtime.
Susan Larson My daughter gave me a historical murder mystery. I thought it was awful and I bragged that I could write a better one in my sleep. She dared me to do it. So I did it. I picked one of my favorite human beings, and forced him to solve a murder when he was very busy doing what he was supposed to be doing. He may never forgive me for tormenting him, but I enjoyed hanging out with him and his friends during the writing process.
