I don't get inspired. I spent a half-dozen years as a journalist, writing on deadline. If you are reviewing a concert on deadline, you have an hour to scamper to the newsroom and grind out something interesting, amusing, or at least cogent. Maybe a better answer to this question would be, I sit down at a keyboard and wiggle my fingers until mealtime.
