Ho trovato un solo sistema per uscire dalla palude creativa del blocco dello scrittore: documentarsi, studiare, valutare aspetti del romanzo fino a quel momento non trattati. Una cartina geografica, una situazione, una tecnologia. Arricchire l'ambientazione può aprire nuove e far uscire dallo stallo. Funziona.

In my experience there is only one way to free your creativity from the writer's block mud: study, expand you novel settings. A map, a situation, e new technology. Make your setting more detailed will open new road and it will help you to escape the writer's block chains.

La cosa migliore è la curiosità che anima chiunque scriva. Ogni volta che si inizia un romanzo nuovo c'è una fase, più o meno lunga, nella quale vengono fatte le ricerche necessarie e ci si documenta sul periodo storico, sulle tecnologie impiegate, su tutto quello che entrerà a far parte del nuovo lavoro. E' una curiosità preziosa che permette di esplorare parti del mondo (o dell'universo) nuove e imprevedibili. Poi è chiaro, quando e se arrivano le recensioni positive sono impagabili. Ma il lavoro dello scrittore è solitario perciò le prime soddisfazioni devono arrivare dalla propria penna.

Every time you start writing a new novel there is step, log or short in time, where you need to make a lot of research about the setting of your new novel, about the technology and about everything will be in your new work. It's a blessed thirst, very precious, that allow you to explore unpredictable end new part of the world (or of the universe if you are, like me, a sci-fi writer). Of course, when you receive a good review it's great but writing is a lonely run so you must spill the first good sensations from your own pen.
