What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Kim Cano I plan to finish all of Catherine Ryan Hyde's books. I've got 12 left to read. I like listening to the audiobook while walking, so it's a win win.

Hi Kim, I loved reading your story Eighty and Out. I felt the love and pain of Lou's many real-life moments. How did you get the ideas for this book? Did you go through the pain of arthritis/divorce/elder care? Thank you and Keep up the great work!

I'm so glad you enjoyed Eighty and Out. :)
My mom has rheumatoid arthritis and struggles with a lot of pain. One day she told me that she and my Aunt Kathy didn't want to grow old. "Eighty and out," she said. "That's our plan." When she said that, the line jumped out at me, and I felt it was a good idea for a story.
And just for fun, I had the designer put a photo of my mom and Aunt Kathy on the book cover.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Kim Cano My sister-in-law was sent to prison for 17 years for committing white collar crime. I have been writing to her for 5 years now, and thought the topic would make a decent story.
