Definitely Hogwarts. I love history and England is chock full of it. My favorite pastime is reading a great historical fiction novel and being transported to another time and place.

I have suffered from "night terrors" (horrible nightmares) since childhood. A plot could develop as to what traumatic event happened that started these awful things. FYI--No one seems to know why I have them, not even doctors.

Amelia and Emerson Peabody in the mystery series by Elizabeth Peters. They are archeologists in Egypt during the Victorian era. Their marriage is a juxtaposition of genteel, common sense and rough and rowdy manliness. Elizabeth Peters artfully weaves humor throughout their relationship.

I don't often get writer's block. I keep a file of ideas I have here and there, so I can always work on something. Also, I'm somewhat task-oriented. I like to start a project and keep working until it's finished. Makes me feel like I've accomplished something.

Be prepared for a very long, but satisfying, journey.

I wrote Ponder Porcupine to help our youngsters realize how fortunate and blessed they were. Several people asked me if I was going to get it published. That prompted me to learn all I could about the writing craft and the publishing business.

The inspiration came from an old family story. My aunt and uncle got lost on their way to Los Angeles in rush hour traffic. My uncle looked at my aunt and said, "Let's follow them. They look like they know where they're going." Seriously! Oddly enough, following this unknown person got them closer to their destination.
