I already have a fairly extensive marketing plan in place, so I’m not looking to hire anyone for paid promotion, reader engagement, review coordination, or similar services.

If you genuinely enjoyed the book, the very best thing you can do is exactly what you’ve already done, leave an honest review, recommend it to other readers, and share it with anyone you think might enjoy it. That kind of genuine word of mouth means far more to me than any paid promotion.

The opening prologue sorta happened? WELL... I was pulled over by airport security because they thought my camera tripod was a gun. That got me to thinking, and Double Exposure was born. This happened 35 years ago. From that moment to present, so many of the situations in Double Exposure are real. Many of the paces in New Orleans are real. The Golf course in Cabo is real. And so many more. But what happens is fiction.

What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Kirk Voclain I have been looking around at a few spy novels, but for sure I am going to read John Grisham's new book The Widow.

Can you tell us a two-sentence horror story?
Kirk Voclain Look over there, it's a man with a knife! Then he stabbed us.

How much of yourself do you put into your main characters?
Kirk Voclain The answer for me is a whole lot. I have been a professional photographer for 45+ years. During all that time, I have been writing my book Double Exposure in my mind. All that time, different things would happen and various situations and experiences as a photographer I would say things like, THIS NEEDS TO GO IN THE BOOK. When I actually sat down and started writing this Novel, all of those experiences came back to me and I did put them in the book. So, for me, I am all over this novel. Exp. the Main Character, Reed Sawyer. Even his girl friend "Tammy" is actually my wife. This Novel was so much fun to write.

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Kirk Voclain I’m a professional photographer (recently turned author/writer). A bunch of years ago I was pulled over at airport security because they thought my tripod was a gun. This sparked an idea, if a Spy used “Photographer” as a cover he could get in almost anywhere and he could even sneak a prohibited item on an airplane.

This lead to me writing the Novel, “Double Exposure” that came into publication this week. Sneak a peak on Amazon, read just the Prologue and you will see how I made this real world mystery in my own life into a whole Novel.
