Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

James Rae Gagzy and Gogzy, the two main characters is my series of books, are adventurers into the mysterious and the unknown. Outer space remains one of the great unknowns. Science and astronomy tell us a lot, but they haven't plumbed the depths of black holes, worm holes or the possibility of other universes. And ask yourself this... Is there a sign at the end of our universe saying... End of universe? No there isn't. Does that means it has no end? Or if there is such a sign, what lies beyond it?
It was this kind of thinking that prompted me to write my latest book...

How do you get inspired to write?

James Rae It can start from one word! The last one about the Twinkling aliens started from the word 'twink', and it grew from there. But there are many different kinds of inspiration.

What are you currently working on?

James Rae I've just started book seven of my series, The Escapades of Gagzy and Gogzy... The psychic sisters who are stars of my books. The title is still a secret.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

James Rae Do it! Things move slowly in publishing, but gradually, if you have the gift, you will come to believe in yourself.

James Rae The wonderful feeling of satisfaction when you complete the work and see it published

Can you tell us a two-sentence horror story?

James Rae She awoke at the witching hour on the night of the blood moon.
The witch's black, razored fingernails twitched hungrily as she skewered the wriggling body of one of her pet tarantulas, before biting off its head.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

James Rae I would go to the word of nursery rhymes and meet all the characters that I read about in my childhood. Check out book 2 in the "Escapades of Gagzy and Gogzy" series - Gagzy, Gogzy and the Ragged Rascal.
