Anything in historical Ireland or Scotland--and as to what I'd do, I'd try to survive! And maybe invent toilet paper.

Lots of nonfiction about the first century--research ahead!

Yes, I do. People who follow my facebook page or participate in the semi-annual Scavenger hunt usually win paperback books. But they are much more expensive to produce and mail, of course, and in this threat of the virus, they are also less safe.
You do not have to have a Kindle to read ebooks--you could read them on a phone or iPad or laptop--anything with a screen will work. :-) I'm afraid ebooks are here to stay and will become even more prevalent in the future, so you might want to learn to love them. :-)

The Silent Years series is set in the Intertestamental period--that 400 years between the Old and New Testaments. I decided to write in that period. because I knew little about it, and I love learning new things. The stories I chose reflect the major events of those years, and help explain why things were so different by the time of Christ.

IN historical fiction, most of them are historical, so I do as much research as I can about who they were and what they did. Then I use fiction and imagination to fill in the gaps.

I have moved on to THE SILENT YEARS series, and am working on the last book in that group--THE KING'S SHADOW.

Sorry that I just saw this question. The latest release was JUDAH'S WIFE, which released in January 2018. The next one is JERUSALEM'S QUEEN, which releases in October 2018. Happy reading!

I am currently working a series called "The Silent Years," written about the 400 years of the Intertestamental period--the years between the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Fascinating times! The first book is called EGYPT'S SISTER and should be out in the summer of 2017.

I never have this problem. Perhaps you're not meant to be a writer. That's okay, lots of people aren't. You may be a creative, however, but in a different way. Are you a visual person? Perhaps you are meant to tell stories through a camera lens, through pictures.

My publishers prefer for me to stick with one genre on a contract . . . for instance, I'll sign a contract for three books of women's fiction, or three for historical fiction . . .
And if I were starting out, they'd probably want me to stick to one niche, but that's impossible now. I write about what I find interesting, and I find LOTS of things interesting. :-)

Because I'm the same person. :-) For a while I wrote under three names, then a pragmatic editor pointed out that my name could be larger on the cover if it were smaller. So I switched to two. Sometimes I will list a book under both names so people will know I'm the same person.

Don't have it. Probably because I have a mortgage. :-)

The flexibility. It's perfect for a mom, although there have been many times when I had to stay in my office and work while everyone else was having fun.

Read, read, read. And live a life. You have to live and experience all of life's joys and trials to have anything to write about.

I am consistently inspired by my mortgage. :-)
