I grew up hearing and reading stories from our epics and Puranas and as I grew up, I liked drawing parallels to our daily lives from these texts. Teenagers and even the older people would often ask me questions regarding many of our old age traditions, rituals and their relevance in today's day. This need for explaining our texts encouraged me to take up writing.

I started writing my second book during the peak of the pandemic when many people lost their near and dear ones and there was a fear of death lurking around. Our mythology talks about immortality and nectar extensively. There are many stories and events connected to Amrit. Therefore, the concept of seven immortals who will live till parlay interested me.
