Louise Mathewson I have a ritual of going to a coffee shop, ordering decaf with chocolate and almond milk(I bring my own!), playing "Creative Mind" on my iPod, bringing along my favorite journal, and pen and away I go!! Sometimes a song title inspires me, nature is an inspiration, a phrase in the paper or on the news.
Louise Mathewson At the start, I wrote to help me process grief after a serious brain injury. After sixty or so poems, I had enough for a book that I thought might be helpful to others and help medical professionals understand the inside experience.
