Michael--I'm going to be speaking at length about your book on a podcast I contribute to. We chose it from a list of Elite books. We wanted to know about your development process with Elite: Legacy. Was this a company-driven project, did you approach the team with the idea for the book, or did it happen some other way?
Michael Brookes I was executive producer on the game and David Braben had read some of my earlier books and asked me to write a book.

Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to write a story within the Elite 'Universe'?
Michael Brookes Read the official novels and GalNet reports. The fiction from the previous games can help provide flavour.

Michael, how has working with Frontier driven your story? Is it in any way driven by what the in game community has so far achieved?
Michael Brookes For Elite: Legacy the game has been a major part of how the story evolved. It also showed how I wanted to see players interacting in game and it's great to see player's creating similar stories for themselves.

Michael, I see you have 197 reviews. I've been researching the various ways of getting people to read and (hopefully ) review my books. what method(s) worked best for you? I have four books published (only two in a series on here) and would benefit from any advice you might have. Thanks, Daniel
Michael Brookes There's a number of review groups on Goodreads - have a look to see which ones cover your genre. You should also check out review blogs in your genre and see if they'll review your book.

Michael Brookes This isn't a private message but it will do :-) For the blog feature I need a post from you that introduces you and your blog, here are some points to consider:

- Who are you and why did you start your blog?
- What regular features do you have on your blog?
- What are the most popular posts on your blog?
- What are your favourite posts?
- What plans do you have for the future?

Make sure the post isn't a straight answer to the questions, it should be more conversational.
