Michael--I'm going to be speaking at length about your book on a podcast I contribute to. We chose it from a list of Elite books. We wanted to know about your development process with Elite: Legacy. Was this a company-driven project, did you approach the team with the idea for the book, or did it happen some other way?

I was executive producer on the game and David Braben had read some of my earlier books and asked me to write a book.
