Warrick and Julianne from my Angel Avenue series. They're the most real fictional couple I've ever had the joy to meet.

It's not an easy question to answer! :-) I guess I just have ideas and pursue them, regardless of whatever genre they fall into. It might just be that I have eclectic tastes... I don't know! I've certainly written several sub-genres of romance but throughout most of my books, there is always "the struggle" the protagonist(s) undergo(es), the series of situations I place them in, to see how they react. A lot of authors when they start out experiment and eventually fall more into one category or another, but it always depends on the audience, and right now I think the majority of romance readers still want steamy stories - but with a few brains too!

It's an interesting question because my writing already crosses a lot of genres. I write under S.M. Lynch too and those novels are dystopian/sci-fi but with romance mixed in. :-) I always said I would never write horror because quite frankly, my imagination is already scary enough. Perhaps that would make me a great horror writer, I just don't know!!

Films, books, quotes, stars, people, experiences... have all made this book. The initial idea began with a painting hiding a message.

It happens at the most inoppurtune moments, mostly when you're away from a pad of paper or a keyboard. Such as in the bath, washing the dishes, changing a nappy, doing the school run. The ideas hit when you're not writing and there's no rhyme to them - they just happen. The best ideas stick.

Step away from the laptop/device and grab a coffee or a glass of wine. Wait until the urge to write is itching the insides of your brains, then begin again.

Hi Thomas. No, not really. I was born there but have spent most of my life in Yorkshire!
