I am currently working on a web site for a armigerous medieval family in Dorset, England. www.worldwidenewburghproject.com. So I am working within the realm of proveable facts. From those studies I am also writing a piece that takes place around the "dissolution" of the churches during the reign of Henry VIII. My protagonist is a young woman named Gwen, alternately known as Hawise during her journey back in time.

Inspiration turns itself on with the remotest of notions. Sometimes this will occur when I am asleep, or in listening to a particular piece of music. Hildegard Von Bingen is especially powerful in igniting the creative juices. Meditation is also helpful. The images come to mind and I begin mulling them over, fashioning them into a plot. I am also a historian, so everything I read is fair game for creating fiction. What is fiction anyway? It is simply remodeled or embellished fact!
