Sarah Richards I have been asked to change gears from fiction to non-fiction writing: Yum! Cooking Gluten, Dairy and Soy Free. I acquired food allergies after I was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis). So, I had to learn how to cook since the world of prepackaged, ready to eat food was pretty much closed to me once I could not longer have gluten, dairy or soy. This has been a journey for me. The allergy friendly food I found to eat tasted "healthy" or disgusting, like cardboard frosted with a kitchen sponge gross! I longed to eat the food I loved when I was growing up. So I began to cook and experiment like a mad scientist until I had food that was allergen free, but not flavor free. This cookbook is full of recipes I eat and feed my family daily. I am very excited for it to be released by the end of the year (2015).
Sarah Richards The best thing about being an author is that I am never bored with my job!
I started by writing fiction novels and using my drawing skills for the covers. Now I have been asked to write a non-fiction book and get to utilize my photography skills. It is very fun being challenged constantly.
Sarah Richards Writer's block is a by-product of stifled creativity.

I close my computer and reach for my sketchbook. With a pencil in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other, I start drawing and writing whatever pops into my head.

Most often, these musing won't make it into a book, but it unclogs the creativity channels.
