I have lived at the Canadian border in Minnesota, in the bayous of Louisiana and on the rocky Atlantic coast of New England.

I am a highly caffeinated home roasting coffee addict who attended the University of Minnesota to study graphic design, and scientific & technical writing.

I am the author of the Woodmere Trilogy; 'Left on the Edge' is my debut book. For more about Autumn, Craig and Woodmere, check out the official site for the Woodmere Trilogy.

When I am not writing, I am designing crochet and cross-stitch patterns for Snoflake Stitchery.

Writer's block is a by-product of stifled creativity.

I close my computer and reach for my sketchbook. With a pencil in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other, I start drawing and writing whatever pops into my head.

Most often, these musing won't make it into a book, but it unclogs the creativity channels.(less)

The best thing about being an author is that I am never bored with my job!
I started by writing fiction novels and using my drawing skills for the covers. Now I have been asked to write a non-fiction book and get to utilize my photography skills. It is very fun being challenged constantly.(less)

Popcorn Puppy Chow!

Sometimes the best things in life are simple.
"Mom, this is better than Ice Cream!" my son exclaimed.
"Why have we not thought to make this before?!" my husband asked.

Popcorn Puppy Chow is one of those simple things.
This free recipe is gluten, dairy and soy free.

I cannot eat gluten, dairy or soy.
This includes any foods that were processed on or in a facility which processes those ingredients.

“Whoever hurt you had a choice to hurt you or love you. It was his choice whoever he is, not yours. It is the same as how Hank made the choice to beat on me and Mom instead of loving us the way he should have. As you told me, that was not my fault either. I believe it is the option of choice that makes evil possible. When he made his choice, you really had no choice.” [said Craig]”
Sarah Richards, Taken in the Woods

“Whenever there is something that needs to be said, the right moment never seems to come.”
Sarah Richards, Taken in the Woods

“Remember you’ve done nothing wrong. You aren’t responsible for what has happened, but you will be responsible for what may happen if you don’t trust your parents to help.” [said Craig]”
Sarah Richards, Taken in the Woods
