(view spoiler)[I honestly really like writing scenes with Persephone and Harley (even though they're not necessarily a romantic "couple") because he just so overloves her, and everyone deserves to have someone overlove them like that. Unfortunately, despite that he loves her to Pluto and back, he notoriously messes up... like, anytime it is humanly possible for him to mess up. Even when I'm writing their scenes, I'm like "No, Harley, don't do it..." but he does anyway. And he makes her mad. And then he does stupid stuff because she's mad. And I wanna wring his neck. So, I'm not sure that they're ever going to figure out a way to really be more than friends, but even as a "couple" of friends, I totes adore them. (hide spoiler)]

It's corny as can be to say, but every time I discover that someone has liked reading something I've written, it's a huge rush. So, part of the best thing is getting the stories in my head out there for others to (hopefully) enjoy, and the other part is knowing something I've created has impacted someone out there (in hopefully a positive way). I always encourage everyone with a story to write it down, self-publish it, and experience that joy themselves.

I feel very lucky in that I don't often get writer's block. If I get temporarily stuck on a story, I work on another book for a while until I can come back with a fresh eye for what I've written and take off on it again. Another tactic I use is to do something non-writing but artsy like paint a painting, knit a scarf, or make beaded jewelry. More often than not though, I try to give myself a day or a weekend off from writing and find myself waking up exceptionally early on the first morning of said break and writing like wildfire. I guess I just have too many stories bouncing around my head and need to get them out.

Ah, thanks for asking! I am putting the final touches on my first Young Adult book, unLEASHed. It is the first book in a new, futuristic series with a 16-year-old protagonist named Cordeleya Hammock. She's attempting to live her simple life in a society where technology is everywhere, and freedom and privacy are extremely rare concepts. Keep an eye out for it to be released sometime this summer, just as soon as I deem it ready for human consumption.
And fear not, Persephone Smith fans, as my first series still has eight additional books, albeit currently in various degrees of rough drafts, to tell the rest of her story. I'd love to get the fifth book from Persephone's series out by year's end, but I don't make promises. It, like the rest of my books, are ready when they're ready, and thanks to self-publishing, the same day I give it the okay, I get it right out to you.
Thanks for your patience - I know how hard it is to wait for a new book to come out, particularly in the middle of a series. You have not been forgotten.
