Kate Vale Cassie followed the trail of spots up the steps and stopped when the pool of red dripped out from under the door. She wanted to turn around and run but the moans, now louder, forced her to reach for the knob and turn it--slowly.
Kate Vale I'm not sure. There are so many places I'd like to visit. New Zealand would be at the top of the list, though it's not fictional.
Kate Vale Latest Susan Wiggs' offering and some older titles by Emilie Richards (one of my favorite authors)
Kate Vale My mother was a foundling. We don't even know if the birthday we celebrated was her actual birth date. I know only that her birth mother was from Scotland and that she was adopted by my grandfather when he was in Alaska, working as a Coast Guard officer, with his first wife, who died. Finding out WHO my mother was born to is a mystery that continues to bedevil me and one reason I wrote a story that focused on adoption, though my story had no such mystery.
Kate Vale I avoid it by usually working on two books at a time. If I'm working on A, and am stumped or find I can't solve a problem that crops up, I leave it (allowing my brain to work on it) and go to B, where I write until my brain kicks in with a possible solution to the problem that cropped up in A. That seems to work for me.

Kate Vale All manner of people, experiences, and thoughts serve as inspiration. Sometimes a secondary character in a previous book demands that I learn more about that person (male or female) and I'm impelled to write that person's story.
Kate Vale Write! Write and write more. Keep writing.
Kate Vale The second and third stories in my newest series, The Lamberts of Pacific Knoll. The 2nd book focuses on Debra, the third on Chris.
