The idea for Conspiracy came from my own interest in 1. Conspiracy theories and 2. Travel and exciting international settings. I wanted to set a YA in the world of an international thriller, where these things were integral to the story, and this was it!
Alexander the Great is such an interesting figure in history--and he has so much mystery surrounding him. His birth, his death, his immense power. It also happens that a lot of his history fits perfectly into the world of the Circle of Twelve. Coincidence? ;)
