how did you come up with the idea for the conspiracy of us.? why did you chose alexander the great?

Maggie Hall The idea for Conspiracy came from my own interest in 1. Conspiracy theories and 2. Travel and exciting international settings. I wanted to set a YA in the world of an international thriller, where these things were integral to the story, and this was it!

Alexander the Great is such an interesting figure in history--and he has so much mystery surrounding him. His birth, his death, his immense power. It also happens that a lot of his history fits perfectly into the world of the Circle of Twelve. Coincidence? ;)
