What was your great aunt's real name? I just finished Where Butterflies Go and was searching Yad Vashem for info on your aunt but cannot find her. Thank you!

Debra Doxer Hello. Thank you for reading the book. Searching Yad Vashem is difficult because there were so many different spellings for every name, including my great aunt’s. I don’t believe searching their database yields any valid results, but the testimony she gave is under the name Ludwika Fiszer. We called her Ludka.

Will you do more books from the Sometime Soon book? Loved the book and would love to read more about the main characters and others. Thanks!

Debra Doxer Hi, Janice. I'm so glad you enjoyed Sometime Soon! Thank you for your question. The truth is, I don't think I'll do anything more with those characters. I wrote the book while my sister was planning her wedding and lots of those scenes came from real life. Now I'm in a very different place with other stuff going on. But that book is definitely special to me. Although when my sister read it, she did not like my calling her car a dumpster on wheels. I told her that part was fiction with my fingers crossed behind my back. :)
