Oliver Tidy Hi Lucy, Good to hear from you. I'm expecting word any day now from the gent who proofreads my books. Then I will sort out the Amazon pre-release purchase option. (Can't do that till I can be positive about the date.) I'm thinking maybe Christmas Day. Certainly around there.

Did you know Elly Griffiths a couple of years ago released a free short story on Kindle,called Ruths First Christmas ?, it mat be a better way to release a free short story rather than keep Rope Enough out there for free.
Oliver Tidy Hi David, I'm giving a lot of thought to the promotional aspect of my self-publishing at the moment. (I've finally just got my days to myself now my son has started school.) Time to do 'something'. I've thought about your suggestion that RE be charged for and I'm considering it. I do have a 'thin' R&M File written that I don't really know what to do with. (It's about 15,000 words.) Perhaps i could give that away instead, although i'm not entirely sure of its value with regard to it being representative of the series. Like I say, I'm definitely thinking! Thanks very much for your suggestion. I read that EG short and quite liked it but I did notice that Amazon customers didn't universally rave about the length of it so it does make me wonder about the wisdom of putting a short out. Oliver Tidy David, thanks for your interest. R&M #6 is galloping towards the finishing line. I'm writing the final chapter now. However, I do need to go back and tinker with quite a bit. All being well I would hope it's available before Christmas. There, now I've given myself a target. :-)

Hi - I just finished reading Rope Enough and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am an avid fan of police proceedure series so am looking forward to reading the ressst of the Romney and Marsh series. However,can you help me find where to obtain them?
Oliver Tidy Thanks, Myrna, for your enquiry. Good to know you enjoyed the first R&M File. I sell all my ebooks exclusively through Amazon. If you don't have a Kindle, Amazon have a free app, I believe, that works with computers and other tablets. Obviously, you'll need an Amazon account. I haven't got around to physical books yet.
