I went to the shops for some decent chocolate. But all they has was Nestle or Cadbury!

Like so many of my stories, it’s just been something that’s been floating about in my head for some years waiting to find the right beginning so I could write it down. One of the very first pieces of the story to ‘appear’ in my head is the one that happens just after the ‘sunbed incident’. Stephanie, her undead sister with autopsy scars showing and the ghost of a Buddhist monk are walking down a rain washed back alley. I then needed to figure out the rest.
I also have a thing for old churches tucked away into amongst inner city shops and buildings and so had to do something with that too. The rest just started to fall into place after that.

Most of my stories come to me as mental images and snippets while I'm letting my mind wander while doing the everyday mundane things I do (ironing, gardening, cooking). Sometimes it's a word or phrase said to me, sometimes it's from a bit of news I overhear.
Basically, I've been making up stories inside my head all my life and been writing them down for as long as I could write. I'm hoping it's not too cheesy to say that maybe that means life itself inspires me to write.

I'm currently working on book two in the 'Other World' series. The first book in the series 'Isis, Vampires and Ghosts - Oh My!' is soon to be released and I hope to finish the second book 'There's no place like Hell' bu the end of this year.
So if you're into Urban Fantasy/ Supernatural Adventure, check them out.

As I'm an emerging author I feel I am still an aspiring writer myself. And what I tell myself is to keep at it. Write for the sake of writing, not for fame or fortune. If you breathe therefore must write - you're already a writer so keep it up.
Also if you want to get your writing noticed - never give up. Rejection is part of life so treat it as a small speedbump rather than a brick wall.
