A. Friend Seeing the state of women in this world: broken, no self-esteem, selling themselves short, victims of domestic violence/rape/sexual trafficking... I want to be a catalyst for change in this arena and help people to see the positives in what appears to be only negatives.
A. Friend I believe writer's block is self-inflicted due to the amount of pressure one puts on him/herself to write. Remove the pressure on yourself and remove the block. Open up your journal and write. Just write. Non-linear, nonsensical, non-cohesive writing... Just let whatever comes out come in whatever form it comes. Grammar/punctuation/spelling not necessary for this exercise. Once you get all that "front matter" -- the junk stuff -- out of the way and onto the page, you will realize that what you really want to write about starts to come and flow freely. Try it.
A. Friend Being able to share my writings with the widest audience possible. Through writing, I am able to reach countries, continents, and people that I would not possibly be able to reach in any other profession.
A. Friend My inspiration comes from within. I am inspired by those things in my life from which wisdom was garnered and with which I can pass the knowledge on to others. I was called to be a helper of people and I try to fulfill the mission I was called to by simply sharing my stories in the light of helping others to avoid some pitfalls or to be able to reframe situations in their lives, become grateful for the lessons, and affirm them as well as integrate them so that they can move on to the next chapter in their lives.
A. Friend I am currently working on "Dear Brother..." -- not necessarily a sequel to "Dear Sister...A Book of Poetry and Conversation" but more of a complimentary volume for the men. Also in the works are "A Painted Bridge Between the Worlds" which is a memoir of my spiritual journey, and I am also writing a fiction novel.
A. Friend Just write and write well. There is a story inside of you that wants to be written. Don't spend so much time studying the "how-to's" of writing and simply begin. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation do matter so write well.
