My most recent book will only be published at the end of February 2018. I think that my life has been somewhat unusual, and I've been fortunate enough to have learned from (some - certainly not all) of my mistakes, and the things that have happened over the years. I've been researching the light and the shadow in people for quite a while now, and so my new book is all about life - and everything.

I suffer from a little too much inspiration. Something or someone will inspire me at least ten times every day. I always add these ideas to an overly fat folder, and once every few months go through it to see if anything pops out at me. People mostly inspire me, people and possibilities.

I'm "resting" my current fiction novel prior to first run edits, and trying very hard to get my non-fiction book, All of You, completed before February.

I would say, stop aspiring and start writing. As soon as you start, don't stop.

Creation. The sheer joy of being able to have anything at all happen or exist in the worlds you get to make.

I generally have more than one work in progress, and always at least one non-fiction and one fiction. I find that if I work on something different for a while, the reason for the original block will appear and I'll be able to carry on with my original manuscript.

Hello James - thank you for your questions! I write both fiction and non-fiction. I've always been obsessed with reading and anything bookish. I think that when you love anything it will come out at some point. Writing happens to writers, I think, without them having to be persuaded much. A spark of an idea will appear and then the story will out when it comes to fiction. My non-fiction writing stems from my desire to help, one way or another. I love research, which is a bonus when you write in any genre.
