Kimberly Rose Johnson Hi, Cintia. You are in good company with your discouragement. I think all writers feel that way at some point.
My suggestion is to just write and not worry about publication. Once you have your manuscript polished and you are pleased with it then think about what you're going to do with it.
Yes, the market is crowded and the competition is fierce, but we have publishing options. There are small publishers who are often willing to take a risk on a new author as well as independent publishing. Indie publishing is hard work and time consuming, but you have complete control of your book when you publish it yourself.
Wishing you the best in your writing.
Kimberly Rose Johnson I would go to Narnia because I was fascinated with it when I read the books as a child. I liked to imagine what it would be like to be one of the characters in the books.

Kimberly Rose Johnson I've given this a lot of consideration because I've never thought about it before. I think Elizabeth Bennet and Darcy from Pride and Prejudice is probably my favorite even though they weren't really a couple until the end. I enjoyed their banter.
Kimberly Rose Johnson I'm not sure. LOL I suppose a deadline forces me to sit down and focus, but I guess I'm a driven person. I need to write.:)
Kimberly Rose Johnson I have days when the words won't come and I give myself permission to do something else. I revisit my manuscript the next day with a fresh mind and sometimes the story will start to flow, or I will realize I need to go back and rethink a few things.
In most cases getting away from the story is all I needed.
Kimberly Rose Johnson The best thing about being a writer for me is making up stories. I love the creative process.
Kimberly Rose Johnson Aspiring writers should study the craft. Read books, attend conferences, follow blogs about writing.
Once you've educated yourself, trust your instincts. I can't tell you how many times I wish I'd listened to my gut rather than ignore it.
Kimberly Rose Johnson I just turned in my final contracted book that will release in March of 2015. It's a Valentine's Day book, that was inspired on Valentine's Day. :)

I'm currently putting together a proposal for a new series.
Kimberly Rose Johnson Susan is the best friend of the heroine in book one of the series. As I was writing The Christmas Promise I knew she needed her own story, and A Romance Rekindled was born.
