John Inman Hi. Thanks for your interest. The decision on when and if new audiobooks are published lies entirely with my publisher. I hope there will be more, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the ones you bought. Have a great day.
John Inman I really have no say in which books go audio. Dreamspinner Press takes care of all that. I know there are plans to finish out the Belladonna Arms series in audio, with two more to go. As for the other books, I believe it depends on the sales numbers. I'm sure I'll have more in audio, I just don't know which books or when they will be released.
John Inman Excellent question, Kael! I only wish I knew the answer. I had intended the 5th book be the end of the series, but so many people posted lovely comments saying they hoped this wouldn't be the end of it, that I'm considering writing more episodes. I've sort of steered away from comedy with my latest releases, focusing more on thrillers and contemporary romance, but I have to admit I miss my friends at the Belladonna Arms when I'm away too long.
John Inman That's an easy one. I'm a huge fan of Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. I'd go to Middle Earth and visit The Shire, Rivendell, Rohan, Orthanc, Moria, the White City, all of it. I read the trilogy once a year, and have for a couple of decades now. The locations in the stories are almost like home to me anyway. There's nothing I'd like more than to see them with my "living eyes", as Frodo said. Thanks for the great question. You've given me something new to daydream about it.
John Inman I hate to say this, but I don't have a summer reading list. I just go from book to book, whatever appeals to me at that moment, or whatever catched my eye. I do want to read Blue, by B.G. Thomas, but right now I'm reading J.A. Jance's Left for Dead, and before that I was rereading one of my favorite Crichton novels, Congo.
John Inman I recently contracted with Dreamspinner Press for the the fifth installment of the Arms series. The book is titled Ginger Snaps, and will be released in March of 2018. I love that series too, and I think Ginger Snaps is one of the best stories in the franchise. Dear old Arthur might even get married in this one. Oh, lord, can you imagine what he'll wear for his wedding? By the way, I'm thrilled you enjoy spending time with my friends at the Belladonna Arms. You have no idea how much that means to me.
John Inman Funny you should ask that. I'm writing a thriller now that deals with a subject very close to my life and heart. The title of the book is WORDS, and I'm down to writing the last couple of chapters. The thing is, I don't want to say what it's about because it's a pretty touchy subject. Plus I want it to be a surprise for my readers. Thanks for your question though. I hope I didn't irk you too much by not really answering it.
John Inman Hi Chocalicious -- I'm thrilled you enjoyed the audio of Sunset Lake. The short answer on your question, I'm afraid, is I don't know. I have very little input on when audiobooks come out. I am offered audition tapes to pick the narrators, but the actual process of when and how books are chosen to go audio are a mystery even to me. It's up to my publisher. If my books were self-published I suppose I would have more control. And also, it's a time-consuming process, so I just feel grateful whenever an audiobook does come out. So you and I can wait together and see what comes out next. Would that be okay? And thanks for your wonderful review. It is appreciated very, very much.
John Inman Hi. Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. To answer your question, I'm not sure. I'm not trying to be mysterious. Honest. I've been playing around with a plot for a sequel for a while now, but I haven't really sat down to put anything on paper. I really liked the characters. They were fun to write. I'd love to see them laugh and screw their way through another adventure. But we'll just have to wait and see, I guess.
John Inman I'm truly honored to be one of your "go-to" authors, and I hope you'll be as excited about the coming year as I am. I have five more books already contracted and waiting to be released between now and the Spring of 2017. A religious thriller titled The Second Son comes out in May through DSP Publications. And after that, all from Dreamspinner Press, two more thrillers and two comedies, one of which is the fourth Belladonna Arms installment, spaced out at about 3-month intervals. I also have a creepy short story coming out in a Sins and Virtues Anthology. It's a busy time, and I'm really loving it. Mainly because of great readers like you. :-)
John Inman I'm not sure what you could do about it, but nah, that's okay. I'm used to spoilers in reviews. I did appreciate your five stars though. It meant a lot to me. Thank you.
John Inman I assume you're referring to my upcoming release (March 18th) of my comedy TWO PET DICKS. Yeah, I hope it's a success. I hope people like it. There's a lot of romance thrown into that one along with the silliness and animal mayhem. I'm glad you enjoyed COMING BACK. There's a fourth installment of the Belladonna Arms series coming out later this year titled BEN AND SHILOH. Hopefully you'll like that one too. Thanks for being a reader. I loooooove readers.
John Inman Hi Colin. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out what you meant. Now that I've figured it out, I'll tell you. I don't know. In fact, I never noticed it before. The photo was taken with my computer. Maybe something about the way the computer records or reflects images? You've stumped me. I'm sure someone out there who knows more than I do about computers can explain it, but it's well beyond me. Glad you enjoyed the books though.
John Inman Hi Karla,

I'm afraid I don't know. I don't have much control over when the audiobooks are released. The audiobook for Sunset Lake should be released any day now, but as for Coming Back, I just can't say. Sorry.
John Inman Hi Pippii, I know you have, and I appreciate your loyalty. Okay, let's see. Actually I have a LOT coming out this year. I'll give them to you in order. March 18 my comedy TWO PET DICKS will be released. Sometime around then I also have a short story titled THE RENDERING coming out in a DSP Publications anthology about sins and virtues. Mine is a horror story about Gluttony. After that, in May I have THE SECOND SON coming out through DSP Publications. A religious thriller. After that in order: MY BUSBOY, another thriller, -- BEN AND SHILOH, the fourth installment of the Belladonna Arms series, -- ACTING UP, a comedy about acting. That's it, I think. As you can see, it'll be a busy year. Yay!
John Inman Hi Chris. I'm glad you liked SPIRIT. I have a couple other paranormal books out -- THE BOYS ON THE MOUNTAIN and also WILLOW MAN -- but they are a lot more violent than SPIRIT, although they still have touches of comedy. You might also try SUNSET LAKE, which isn't paranormal, but a thriller instead. Whatever you decide to pick up next, I hope you'll enjoy it. Let me know. And thanks for getting in touch. I love hearing from readers.
John Inman Hi, Jerry. Thanks for your interest. The best two locations for purchasing my books are at either Amazon, where you can go to the book section and type in my name, or at the Dreamspinner Press website. http://www.dreamspinnerpress.com/Auth...

Both sites have all my books. Happy reading!
John Inman I'm so thrilled you're enjoying the story. This book was a labor of love that took a long time to write. I'm glad people are finally able to read it. If you don't mind, I'll refer you to an interview I just did about BOYS and where the idea of it started. Follow the link below to Novel Approach Reviews to read the interview. And thanks so much for liking my book. You just made my day. http://thenovelapproachreviews.com/20...
