I have already written it in my memoir, Cold Turkey at Nine. It was a 40-year secret of a family tragedy in a case that was adjudicated by the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Hope, my apologies for this delay in responding. I have been immersed in completing my second book of nonfiction. It's now with the publisher. My wife and I will be traveling most of this month and my time will be very limited.
If you could send me a synopsis of your book, I will consider it. If it's of interest, I could review it between August 20 and September 10, before we take off again on another trip for three weeks. Sorry for the caveats. :-)

While not a couple in the normal sense of the term, the couple that popped in my mind first are Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. I recently read Cervantes' Don Quixote: Man of La Mancha after a trip to Spain and it was a completely delightful read.
I suppose my favorite romantic couple are Romeo and Juliet.

Susan, thanks for getting in touch again! Being only mid-March now, I have given little if any thought to how to celebrate my April Fool's birthday this year. But the celebration will certainly include something out of the ordinary.
My writing has taken a back seat to our recent move from Austin to Old Town Scottsdale. I have a second book of nonfiction underway, with no clear publication date yet.
I hope my memoir will be a satisfying birthday present! Let me know either way. And happy April Fool's Birthday to you!

Fortunately, I almost never have writer's block. I have stopped blogging weekly to focus on my second book, Meanderings of an Unpredictable Mind, nearing completion. When I put my fingers on the keyboard to write, the ideas usually flow in some fashion.

At this stage for me, it's the satisfaction of knowing my writing remains alive and thrilling to me after publishing my memoir in 2013. It's important to me that my books will far outlive me. :-)

First, keep the dream alive. Secondly, write what you feel compelled to write. Then, keep writing until you have said what you want to say.

I am near the end of a second book of nonfiction containing stories I continued to write after my manuscript for Cold Turkey at Nine was completed in early 2013. The tentative title of the book is Meanderings of an Unpredictable Mind and it is due out in fall 2017.

It's hard to say definitely, but I have always enjoyed writing. The inspiration to write in such detail about the joys and sorrows of my family came from a sense of duty to tell the story the best I knew how, that it was a story that needed to be written, that I became obligated to write. My mother's death at my father's hands remains the great sorrow of my life.

The idea for Cold Turkey at Nine grew very slowly, after about 5-7 years of writing stories for my family.
