I have not experienced a bad case of writer's block yet. I was unsure at one time how I wanted a certain plot to develop but I was never really badly stuck. If I do encounter that in the future, I will step away from the book to distract myself for a bit and make another attempt a few hours or days later. I might read or watch a movie or meet with friends to get the creative juices flowing again.

Everyone will have a different "best thing" depending who you are. For me it is doing what I love and entertaining a broad audience. I also enjoy the freedom of being able to choose my "work hours". I often write late at night.

While the writing is important make sure you have the manuscript edited properly, especially for grammar, typos, etc. and possibly for character and plot development.
Look at this new venture like a start-up business. You need to have a business / marketing plan and an excellent branding. As a new author, readers must trust you first before they will buy your book. So make sure that your target market gets to know you as a person first. Book sales cannot be forced. Even if you have the greatest book published, the readers don't know you or the book. So you must gain their trust first, the sales will come your way. Do not expect to become an overnight success. Even the famous and well-known authors didn't make it overnight. It just looks that way. Be persistent and patient.

I am working on the sequel to Desperate Pursuit in Venice which is entitled Desperate Pursuit in Rio de Janeiro. Thereafter I will write a life coaching, empowerment/personal growth book for people who don't have a good mentor in their life and may be in a rut in their life or don't know where to turn to for personal growth advice.

My most recent book which will be published soon is the sequel to my first book Desperate Pursuit in Venice which is loosely based on certain of my life and work experiences. I then added captivating characters and a thriller and family drama plot and set the story in enchanting international locations.
