I don't write fiction. I've never experienced writer's block. I admire fiction authors who are able to create believable stories, characters and plots. Based on my experience, I assume that writer's block is something fiction writer's experience. My purpose as an author is to relay inspiration, knowledge, and instruction to help people discover and live in the same life-giving truth I've been blessed to find. So, when I sit down to write, I have already researched and/or experienced the matter--the message is already "in me" and flows freely, then it needs lots of editing help!

Read, read, read. Write, write, write. Connect with other writers and bravely submit your rough drafts to mentors for critique. I took a writer's course which helped me realize early on that I was a lousy writer... But I kept at it, knowing that the pen is mightier than the sword. I have a mandate to share truth and God's love--this is my passion. If you have a passion, then do everything it takes to perfect your writing so you can effectively communicate your passion and impact others. Get a writing mentor, one who is experienced and will honestly critique your work while offering constructive encouragement. And by all means, get a really good editor...

The third book in my Faith to Live By series is, "Revive Your Life! Rest for Your Anxious Heart." This book addresses the reform our nation and world needs, evidenced by the tremendous unrest, angry protests and more. In the 1960's "love" was the commonly believed, much-needed solution to the woes of the culture. But in the four decades following, the very source of love has been marginalized and rejected as no longer relevant. It's time for us to reconsider God, who is love, and discover the rest our world needs.

I'm called to speak and instruct. I'm wholly devoted to helping people discover and live in life-giving truth. Truth itself has been distorted--many believe that truth is relative. This is a lie from the pit of hell. When I ask my audiences "Who in this room wants to live your life on the basis of a lie?" no one ever raises their hand. This is exceedingly revealing. 1) It reveals that universally we all prefer truth over deception; 2) It reveals that we deem truth as good and lies as bad, and; 3) It reveals that we all have an innate moral compass. I'm inspired by God to help people discover truth and live the abundant victorious life Christ died to give us.

The first book in the Faith to Live By series was written in response to an article published by ABC News about Americans being flexible about religious faith. The article revealed that Americans (and the world) are woefully deceived. The outrage prompted writing "Examine Your Faith! Finding Truth in a World of Lies." Before I finished writing this book, I knew there would be at least two others. Each of the three books explore a specific focus of faith. Essential Faith (saving faith); Effective Faith (confident hope) and; Excellent Faith (motivated by God's love).
