What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Pamela Christian Read, read, read. Write, write, write. Connect with other writers and bravely submit your rough drafts to mentors for critique. I took a writer's course which helped me realize early on that I was a lousy writer... But I kept at it, knowing that the pen is mightier than the sword. I have a mandate to share truth and God's love--this is my passion. If you have a passion, then do everything it takes to perfect your writing so you can effectively communicate your passion and impact others. Get a writing mentor, one who is experienced and will honestly critique your work while offering constructive encouragement. And by all means, get a really good editor...
