How do you get inspired to write?

Anne Penketh I was inspired to write Murder on the Marsh by visiting the North Norfolk coast out of season with my relatives. The picturesque villages with their empty houses, and the mist that swept in without warning from the marsh, seemed to me to be the perfect setting for a dark story.

What are you currently working on?

Anne Penketh The second book in my series of murder mysteries set in Norfolk. This one involves the sister of Detective Inspector Sam Clayton, from whom he's been estranged for some twenty years.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Anne Penketh Never give up. If you're looking for an agent or publisher, remember it only takes one to love your book, even if you've been rejected by others.
