My favorite fictional couple is a tie between Miller Hoffman & Bobbie Lamont (my characters) and Mikael Blomkvist & Lisbeth Salander. I enjoyed The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, just not because of the story, but also because of the interaction between Blomkvist & Lisbeth. Though they didn't remain a couple long, having gone their separate ways by the end, when they were together, they were a good couple. Now, the reason why I included my own characters, Miller Hoffman & Bobbie Lamont, is because I enjoy writing about them, both when they're separated and/or not together as well as when they are a couple.

I would recommend reading Two Girls against the World first. It is a good introduction to the character of Bobbie Lamont.

No, she isn't. She is based on a variety of sources and I feel that even though I wrote about her in my first novel twelve years ago (not my debut novel), every time I write about her that I get to know her more and more.

I am inspired to write every day, usually when I'm at work and am not around my laptop.

My advice for aspiring writers is to ask themselves one question. Do you want to be a writer or do you need to be a writer? If the answer is want to be, then find some other way to express your creativity. If the answer is need to be, then keep on writing.

While writing the backstory for Bobbie Lamont, the main character of my second novel, Bobbie Lamont, I realized that I wanted to write more about her. That is why she is the main character of my third novel, Girl with the Broken Smile.

I find it helpful to take a break if I'm having dealing with writer's block. I will read a book or watch a movie or listen to some music.

I'm currently working on my third novel, Girl with the Broken Smile. The main character is Bobbie Lamont, the same as my second novel, Bobbie Lamont. The focus is on her coming of age in New Orleans, starting in the summer of 1983, when she loses a family member and ending in the summer of 1990, when she meets and falls in love with Miller Hoffman.
