Katherine Pathak Hi Cristina, I can certainly send you a copy of On a Dark Sea. Just let me know your email address. Best wishes Katherine X
Katherine Pathak Hi Patricia, thank you for getting in touch! Sorry, for the delayed reply, I hadn't been on Goodreads for a while! I'm so glad you are enjoying the series. I will certainly pass on your comments regarding chapter headings. As for uses of 'was' and 'were'. There tend to be disagreement amongst us Brits about the appropriate use! It should usually be 'was' for singular and 'were' for plural.
I won't give away Dani and James's future - you'll have to keep reading!

Very best wishes

Katherine
Katherine Pathak My fictional sleuths Imogen and Hugh Croft, of course.! And Tommy and Tuppence Beresford from Agatha Christie's books.
Katherine Pathak The best thing about writing a book is tying up all of the plot lines in a way that you're happy with. Then, when the novel is finally complete, it is a wonderful sensation. Then, if another person says they enjoyed reading it, that feeling really can't be beaten!
Katherine Pathak This is a very exciting time to be a writer. There are many more opportunities now for people to access what you have produced. Make sure your books are finished to the highest quality. Take time to edit and check them thoroughly, as a brilliant story can be ruined if the structure and editing is wrong.
Katherine Pathak I am currently writing the fifth book in the series, which is entitled Memorial for the Dead. It is set back on the Isle of Garansay, like the first two books. However, about a quarter of the story takes place in Canada and the United States, so I have very much enjoyed researching those sections. I am also introducing a new lead character in this book, with an eye to producing a separate series for her. So It has been particularly interesting to build up the backstory for this new protagonist.
Katherine Pathak The Woman who Vanished is the fourth book in my Imogen and Hugh Croft Mysteries Series. I plotted the book whilst my husband and I were on a weekend break at a country hotel in Suffolk. I decided I would like to write a traditional country house murder mystery but with a modern story woven into it. The plot itself I jotted down on two sides of an envelope in a coffee shop. I then rushed back to the hotel to write it out properly in my notebooks.
