I am a great Sci - Fi fan and love seeing Sci-Fi become reality. The USA are flying hyper speed craft. My plot came out of that and the recent news that the UK have an all in one rocket engine that is fueled by both air breathing jet fuel and rocket fuel for Mach 5 and above..

Hard to answer. Something happens normally that sparks an idea. I play around with it for a while until a clear picture and plot start to emerge. If they don't, nothing happens until the next 'happening.' ie: I accidentally spilled coffee in my lap, shot out of my seat, fell back down on the TV remote, The TV showed the Lord Mayors procession in London on the BBC. Procession went past Hatton Garden (jewelry and gem center) Result - The Trojan Towers my first novel.

I have just finishing my latest novel, Twisted Wire, the second in the Enda Osin mystery novels and will be starting the third as soon as Twisted Wire is published shortly.

No matter what, keep writing. Always listen to criticism - it's the only tool you have for improving your work. Don't think about making money (you never will unless you are truly gifted) but write for your own enjoyment.

I can daydream without anyone thinking I'm mad. (even though sometimes I think I am.)

I rarely get writer's block but if I get stuck I always have another project I can switch to. That tends to let the mind get back into gear.
