What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Stuart Stutzman Write. Even if you don't have anything to say. The physical act of writing can shake ideas out you didn't know you had. But it's also extremely important to be kind and patient with yourself. A lot of what you write won't be any good, and that's totally fine and normal. You don't have to write pages and pages of gold every time you sit down to write; you just have to write. Be persistent. Be patient. Write.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Stuart Stutzman I got the idea for Stupid, Sweaty, Beautiful, Manic Love from my life. I live with bipolar disorder, and I'm terribly awkward with the opposite sex. My struggles with bipolar disorder don't define my experiences and my interactions with women, but they have certainly colored them. I just wanted to tell stories based on my experiences and some other stories that are 100% made up about being bipolar and constantly in and out of love/lust/whatever.
